Father gone, more problems still

Same with father’s death: it’s not because father is gone that life can go back to normal… not in the least!

On top of that mom has been neglecting herself just to help taking care of father. This neglect has led to her shoulder having a torn ligament. Yes there was pain, but mom needed to "carry on". You can "carry on" just as far as the ligament gets torn completely, yet luckily mom is not in that stage yet.

But it’s just one of the many examples to illustrate that life was "easier" when father still as around:

• father "just" needed a lot of help and people to take care of him.

Or like one of his children said: we did what needed to be done, that was a ‘no-brainer’ because the task was huge and most important.

Yet lots of things have been neglected because of this huge task and these things are now coming to bite us.

Mom is going to see an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow Wednesday, and we just keep our fingers crossed that he is not "of the cutting type". I had a torn ligament myself: it can heal without cutting, you just have to be patient and make sure you let your ligament rest as much as possible. Yet I am a patient person, mom isn’t when it comes to pain.
