Mom asks for advice (2)
For moms torn ligament "my good plan" is that she rest her shoulder as good as possible. I know that’s easier said than done, as once I had a torn ligament on my wrist, and even opening a stupid door became "to much of an effort". Yet I had no choice, as the other option was surgery which I dread… Mom is mom and of course she had to mown the lawn before seeing the orthopedic surgeon…
I did get a very uncomfortable plastic thing to put around my wrist. Discomfort was exactly what this thing was for: making sure my wrist wasn’t able to move for as long as I wore it. But I am aware that doesn’t exist for a shoulder.
So my advice is to rest her arm, but it seems I need to get a better plan in order to make sure she doesn’t do things herself like mowing the grass. The next task on her list is cleaning the house of the chickens…
Easy to give advice or "a good plan" when you already lived through something yourself…No need to use your imagination
But practical planning is needed how to make sure the every day chores get done when you are not to use your right shoulder… All advice welcome!
