Breast cancer and ovarian cancer

Just got the news of a colleague of mine. A few years ago she had a little lump in her breast: breast cancer. She got the lump removed and a few days later she was back on the job.

Now she has ovarian cancer. Luckily not a metastatic cancer, so it is a new primary cancer: "just" ovarian cancer. Sounds "good news" but it still is cancer!.

What is Gods’ plan?

I often hear that God has a plan, he wants to say us something…

Now what does God want to say to a woman when her breasts and ovaries need to be removed? Wouldn’t things be much easier and for sure more fun that she was born as a man in the first place?

Now what does God want to say to my father who was 75 and always was there to help somebody else? "Oh, since go are going to heaven soon, might as well bring me a metastatic liver cancer?’

I still don’t get it God :-(

Paris Hilton for President?

Remember how sad Paris Hilton looked when she came out of jail and came on to Larry King saying things like:

  • prison has made me think to do some good work
  • I am going to do some charity

Blablabla…

If you don’t mean it, then don’t say it. And if you do mean it, and you have the publicity like Paris has, then create some buzz about it. We would be honoured that you should chose cancer prevention as one of your charities: as it is a very tough one yet when it comes to cancer: once you have it, it’s not easy to get rid of it. Not getting cancer is key, and we can use all the awareness we can get.

And if you really don’t do what you say, you should become a politician Paris

Palliative care : $$$ minded

How to make money from Metastatic Liver Cancer

You know those slime-balls that see a girl crying as she is just dumped by her boyfriend? 2 hours later "being a great hugger and comforter" slime-ball does exactly what you expect from slime and balls and the girl is now even in deeper trouble.

Exactly what we felt when the “professional” palliative care people came by to offer their “help”.

Palliative care: how to kill your metastatic liver cancer patient?

Noooo, don’t kill him, squeeze the money out of him first! 1 night of "sleep-over": 30 USD. What is this? The patient is am not in hospital, so the social system is not loosing money by subsidising the stay. Yet the patient has to pay full force for a person to sit next to the bed just in case something should happen at night?

Yet these palliative care people are not state-send: they made their own money making machine out of somebody else’s misery. And what do the politicians say? Everything is quite there as usual…

Who said that Europe has the best social system in the world? I have pity for the rest of the world then…

Palliative care in our region

In short: these palliative care people are doing less than all the other helpers (nurses, cleaning women, social helpers) we had in the house yet those palliative care people ask more money.

Kind of leaches sucking on cancer patients, making sure the cancer treatments go on so the hospices and palliative care-takers can suck longer?

Palliative care: phone us when you need us
