- Changes in the stools: diarrhea and/ or constipation can be one of the symptoms of stomach cancer. Never let a constipation take longer than a few days!
- Blood in the stool: Seeing blood in your stool could be a symptom of stomach cancer. In my father’s case it was a sign of his cancer, which was located in his colon. Sometimes blood in the stool is only visible with a laboratory test.
- Loosing weight/being anorexic without trying: If you are loosing weight and are not on a diet nor are you increasing your daily activities or exercises, you may be feeding a cancer. Again, weight loss can be caused by many other diseases both physically as mentally.
- Nausea and/or vomiting: Feeling nauseous and vomiting lasting more than a day could be a symptom of stomach cancer. You also have to know that elderly people do suffer more from nausea than younger people, so again: nausea and vomiting is no clear indication of any cancer. But you should see your doctor and insist you get to the bottom of it.
Vomiting will surely occur if you have a cancer in the top of your stomach. - Loss of appetite for more than 2 days is always an indication that something is wrong, both mentally or physically.
- Feeling full or bloated: Feeling bloated after eating is a more common symptom of stomach cancer. Feeling bloated in general can have many other causes than having cancer.Feeling full after eating less than usual can indicated a cancer is located somewhere in the abdomen.
- Feeling tired for no apparent reason could be an early sign for cancer but can have lots of other reasons.
