I already explained in my previous metastatic liver cancer post why Bush fails as an oncologist, as an example how a patient
should be asked what he wants first.
Another metastatic liver cancer Saddam-Bush story
This story is even a better example on how one can waste time with a so called cure. It is similar, maybe even worse than my metastatic liver cancer, where the primary cancer cannot be found. It all goes back to:
- wrong or, too fast diagnosis without listening to any second opinion
- looking only at the primary cancer and ignoring the secondary liver cancer: wrong, wrong, wrong!
Suppose Saddam is the primary cancer
In 1982 there was an assassination attempt on Saddam Hussein. Call it a radiation therapy to kill the cancer. Yet the radiation therapy and the cancer fought back and in turn killed 148 people. Only now: 5 years later, there is call it a second radiation therapy to get rid of the cancer that is called Saddam Hussein.
If this cancer was bothering you so much, why wait 25 years to cure it???
If Saddam is the primary cancer, what are we doing with the secondary cancer?
Saddam was captured and isolated for 3 years already, which is a great job if he was a real cancer. Yet Bush is keeping his eyes shut to what he call "isolated pockets of resistance".
For us who have a metastatic cancer, this is exactly what metastatic cancer is all about: if you are lucky, you can isolate it in 1 place and get rid of it. if you are unlucky like me, and the metastatic liver cancer are little isolated pockets all over my liver, then it is quite impossible to get rid of them. Even by finding the primary cancer, there is no plan to deal with the secondary liver cancer. Just like there is no plan to deal with the metastatic problems in Iraq.
Cancer, good health and democracy
What do we, the people want? Good health, healthy food to eat and free time to spend after a long day of work. What does democracy give us? Politicians playing politics. Is that what we want? NO!
