Share your love and support! Chrissy shared her father’s metastatic liver cancer story at Can chemotherapy cure metastatic liver cancer?

Chrissy is praying that one day cancer can be treated and cured. Of course I would also love to see that day.

On the other hand I would love to see more research and solutions for cancer prevention. After the second world war, cancer is becoming an epidemic and the numbers are astonishing.

Pancreatic cancer cures

Just take pancreatic cancer, the cancer famous actorPatrick Swayze is suffering from.

Patrick Swayze is a name we all know, but did you know that almost 40.000 other people in the US alone will be asking for Pancreatic cancer treatments in 2008 alone?

And still in 2008 in the US alone: almost the same number of people will die because of pancreatic cancer…

Did you ever hear Clinton, Obama or McCain
mentioning all these 40.000 death cancers in 2008?

(and that’s only for pancreatic cancer,
there are much more cancer deaths all together)

And isn’t it too big a coincidence that after world war 2 pesticides and chemical pesticides got introduced in our food chain. Just like it got introduced in the food chain of the bald eagle, that got almost extinct. See our post : Bone cancer early symptoms.

I compare different cancer types to trees in the rainforest: there is a huge variety amongst the trees of a rain forest. But each day more trees are cut in the rainforest. Just like each day:

  • more cancer patients die and

  • more patients are in need of cancer treatments.

Generalized, the cancer treatments of all these different cancer types boil down to:

  • surgery,

  • chemotherapy or

  • radiation therapy.

Vaccines and cancer prevention are only for people with cancer…

New cancer treatments like vaccine immunotherapy where you make your body stronger to fight the cancer are only in an early stage of development.

The wording is misleading: vaccine isn’t what you would expect to eradicate all cancers, but cancer vaccines so far are only made to help cancer survivors.

Similar misleading wordings are used when doctors speak about cancer prevention. Listen to Dr. Oz on Oprah and you will notice that cancer prevention boils down to detecting the cancer in it’s early stage.

You heard that right: the medical world uses the word "cancer prevention" but actually the person involved already has cancer in an early stage!

Cancer treatments make money

And why is it so obvious that the best known cancer prevention procedures are those that involve hospitals and money making high-tech medical tools in procedures like mammogram or colonoscopy.

Again listen how these days on the health channels on TV people are kind of pushed to take a mammogram and a colonoscopy.

I am not saying that yo have to stop taking mammograms and colonoscopies, but I highlight the fact that it’s less about cancer prevention and more about a smart hospital business:

Normally hospitals are for sick people, but hospitals now increase the amount of consultations by getting healthy people into the hospital and screen them for early cancer symptoms.

What I would love to see is real cancer prevention before the cancer is in your body

I do pray that one day some people really can lobby inside the high level political arena to put the priceless value of human lives (back?) on the agenda.

Much more people die from cancer inside the US than for example in Iraq and Afghanistan. Why do we not hear the daily numbers of cancer casualties in the daily news?

I am sure we do have the knowledge and technology to prevent cancer right now, we just lack the political will to start doing so.

Chrissy’s metastatic liver cancer story

Hi

I send all of my love and support for those who have been affected by liver cancer either directly or indirectly.

My father passed away almost 4 months ago at the age of 55 from secondary liver cancer.

I miss my dad every day that passes.

So this is my prayer, I pray that one day liver cancer will be able to be treated and the statistics of those who survive this disease rise. God Bless You All!

Thanks for sharing Chrissy, and although my father passed away now for 18 months from metastatic liver cancer, I miss my dad every day that passes as well.
