A lot!
A lot of money goes into chemotherapy cancer and then there are the cancer treatment side-effects. In my adenocarcinoma cancer case without a cancer treatment: the side effects of my metastatic liver cancer also cost lots of money.
Costs for cancer diagnosis
I don’t have to pay for cancer treatment as such, since I am not having chemotherapy, nor surgery. So what did I pay for?
First of all the cancer diagnosis: or the lack of cancer diagnosis. I underwent a lot of tests without much result until they finally made my cancer diagnosis: an adenocarcinoma cancer.
Then trying to find out where my adenocarcinoma cancer was coming from: again lots of scans and a liver biopsy, yet no significant result. So expensive expenses spend for a poor cancer diagnosis: metastatic liver cancer, undifferentiated adenocarcinoma cancer.
All the money spend here + all the money spend for education of all these specialists and all this high tech equipment scans… you better call my cancer diagnosis:
- metastatic liver cancer, undifferentiated adenocarcinoma cancer.
Sounds better (more expensive) than the plain embarrassing truth:
- there is some cancer in your liver and we have no clue where it comes from But no problem, you are dying and we charge you a bomb for that!
Anyway, more tomorrow as this ridiculous way I have been treated with by giving my cancer names that took me ages to decipher… and I have to pay for all that nonsense!
I am not angry that they cannot cure my cancer, I am angry that I have to pay a bomb for something that doesn’t give me anything back. If I go to the bakery: I give 1.5 $ and get a delicious pastry. I get what I pay for. This cancer diagnosis costs a lot of $$$ just to say: “euhm…. dunno really” I don’t get what I paid for!!!
How to make money? Act important, wear white shirts, tell people they are on the right way, tell people words they don’t understand and charge them big time!
